THE HARVEST HOME MISSION

Live with
Purpose & Grace.

At Harvest Home, it is our passion to serve and help others. We set out to do all we can so others may live with purpose & grace through their daily lives; of course our residents, but also our caregivers, nurses, and staff, as well as anyone that visits Harvest Home. We hope that our service inspires them to let their light shine and serve others, as we are inspired by our strong Christian foundation.

A Christian & Family Setting

Our strong focus at Harvest Home has been to remain a Christian and family setting for the residents to live purpose-filled lives. It is a Christian-based community that not only cares for our residents’ physical and mental welfare, but also for their spiritual welfare. Striving to help the residents maintain their church membership, encourage local clergy to come to Harvest Home, attend services as residents are able, and to provide opportunities for Bible study in house are some of the key ways to do this. In fact, Harvest Home Senior Living Services got its name from the old hymn, Come Ye Thankful People, Come:

Come, ye thankful people, come; Raise the song of Harvest-home.
All be safely gathered in Ere the winter storms begin;
God our Maker, doth provide For our wants to be supplied.
Come to God's own temple, come; Raise the song of Harvest-home

Our Story

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Harvest Home was founded in July of 2006 in Howard’s Grove, Wisconsin by Beth and Fred Pahmeier. Fred is the Director of Finances, while Beth serves as the Director of Operations and administrator for each home, having over 30 years of experience in long term care in various roles such as registered dietitian, manager and CNA. Being in long term care and these positions gave her a great desire for quality care that drove her to start her own facility where the resident’s needs truly come first.

God has blessed them richly after 15+ years now with multiple expansions because of the need and love the community has shown with the care given at Harvest Home. Throughout those years, Beth became passionate about memory care and wanted to be able to offer a place where the residents and families can work through the progressing disease together with a dedicated team. Harvest Home specializes and is trained in moderate to advanced dementia so the loved ones can stay and the team they know can help them through the disease in a comforting setting.

Where To Go From Here

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

We’re so blessed to have grown from one 8-bed facility in Howards Grove in 2006, to a brand new campus that consists of four 8-bed campuses in 2016. This amazing growth gained support through the community and shined light on a need to expand. This motivated us to purchase a campus in Mount Pleasant, that consists of four buildings; three 8-beds, and one 24-bed, as well as a facility in Grafton, that is a 16-bed.

All of this was possible as we are very careful to grow only when the timing (and opportunity) is right for us. What makes us different from all other assisted livings is that we have a standard of a 1:4 caregiver to resident ratio. This allows us to make sure our residents are personally cared for, while also ensuring that our staff can not only care for these residents, but enjoy doing it without feeling overworked.

It’s with this mentality that we plan to move forward. We love what we do and we’re grateful for the campuses we have, because we are able to maintain the quality of life for our residents and staff at this capacity.
