Beth Pahmeier - Director of Operations, Administrator and Registered Dietician

I am a registered dietitian, licensed by the state of Wisconsin for the past 15 years. Over the past 25 years I have worked in long term care in many roles and in different types of settings. I have provided direct care as a certified nursing assistant in nursing homes and as a CBRF caregiver in assisted living. As a Clinical Dietitian and Dining Service Director, I have worked in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted livings and provided nutrition teaching for in-home clients. I have worked at the corporate level, writing policies/procedures, directing regional dining specialists and conducting quality assurance programs.

After working many years for larger companies, I had the opportunity to go out on my own to provide quality care and services that I very strongly believe in.  I have owned and operated my own assisted living homes since 2006 and have provided assistance as a consultant for others opening up facilities. The need for quality care for people suffering with dementia has really come to the forefront. With that in mind, I have studied the disease and attended several workshops and training on how to provide quality care for those with dementia. I am now a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Practitioner Trainer through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. 

As a health care provider, I believe it is my duty to remain current in the latest information in my field of long term care, with an emphasis on nutrition and dementia. My priority then is to share what I learn with those who work in long term care settings and also with those who live it. In addition to providing direction in all aspects of assisted living operations; I teach classes in nutrition, quality food service for assisted livings and now also dementia classes.

Beth's husband. Served as a Christian elementary school teacher for over 25 years and a principal for many of those years as well. Growing up in Cleveland, he can easily reminisce with the residents from the area.

Ken Schmitz, RN

Ken Schmitz- RN 

Graduate of Cardinal Stritch College, 1993, spending the majority of the past 12 years consulting for Assisted Living Homes. He is President of Quality Advocates for Assisted Living, a networking support group for assisted livings. Active member of the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association Education Committee. Clinical experience includes hospital nursing, nursing home management specializing in long term care with experience coordinating care through home health and hospice.

Rachel Valukas - LPN House Manager, Howards Grove

Rachael Valukas - LPN Nursing Coordinator 

Graduate from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2014. My Husband Ryan and I grew up in the area, and currently live close by with our three children. I grew up in a very family oriented household and I bring those values into my work. 

I strive to make the transition of moving loved ones from their familiar environment, into their new home, by alleviating the stresses that family members involved may experience. In doing this, more time can be spent focusing on what is really important, Family.

I graduated from Lakeshore Technical Institute in 1976 as a Practical Nurse. In my 42 years as a nurse I have had a variety of experiences including behavior health with both children & adults, Orthopedics and many years working with the elderly. I joined Harvest Home in 2016 after semi-retiring and find this population most rewarding. Equally rewarding is working with families of the residents as their loved ones transition into their new home.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in 2004 with a degree in Human Development. I have experience working with people of all ages.Working with the elderly has been the most rewarding, by far! It is amazing what we can learn from them. As the Campus Manager I work with all the caregivers, listening to their needs and ideas on how we can all be at our best! Striving to have the best employees who are hare to take care of the residents as if they were their own family, is my greatest goal! I promote being a team all the time. We all work here for the greater good of residents and thier families! I currently live with my two children, William and Brynn, in Keil. I come from a very closely knit family and I love that working here is just like that!

 Angie Clarke-Kisiolek - Activity Coordinator/Marketing Director/Dementia Trainer/ End of Life Doula/Midwife-Sacred Crossing LLC

I joined Harvest Home in March of 2016 as a very part time caregiver. Shortly after joining Harvest Home, I moved into activiites assistant and currently am the Activity Coordinator. I didn't know that I would fall in love with and have such a deep appreciation for the work that is being done here at Harvest Home. The care and love given to our residents is beyond anything that I have ever witnessed. I was soon smitten with the residents and the caregivers. I have an immense appreciation for the way this campus is managed. As a family endeavor, this campus is run with genuine family values at its core. Soon, I couldn't learn enough about our residents and the variety of reasons why they were here at Harvest Home. After researching several topics and learning more about dementia and how it is tied to so many of our residents I needed to know more and more. Today, I am Harvest Home's Dementia Certified Trainer, responsible for the dementia training for our amazing staff of caregivers and families of our residents. We are involved with the Dementia Care Network of Sheboygan County, the Alzhiemers Association and the WALK to End committee every year. 

Harvest Home is the first to offer a certified end of life doula/midwife. Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of the month to learn more about the end of life for our teminally ill friends, meet in Bancroft House from 5 to 6pm. Join us on the 2nd Wednesday of each month for our Dementia support group that meets in Bancroft House from 4 to 5pm.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to spend time and share new ideas with the residents of Harvest Home. I strongly believe in Harvest Home's mission and am proud to be a part of helping people age with purpose and grace.
